On Friday 14 April, our Year 12 students had the honour of visiting Hajjeh Faten El Dana to pay their respects and offer their condolences to the El Dana family for the loss of our beloved Head Principal, Mr. Mohamad El Dana. Our students presented Hajjeh Faten with a heartfelt gift in memory of Mr. El Dana and recited verses from the Qur’an while listening to stories about the dedicated and hardworking leader he was. The 2023 cohort would like to thank Hajjeh Faten for welcoming them, and we ask Allah to have mercy on Mr El Dana’s soul and grant him Al Firdaws Al A^la.

We are proud to have had our school principal, Mr. Alwan, school executives, and staff members join our students on this visit to Hajjeh Faten El Dana. Their presence was a testament to the unity and compassion that is at the core of our school community.

Following the visit, our students and teachers gathered for an iftar at the Avocado Restaurant in Brighton Le Sands. We were honoured to have Hadi El Dana, a 2013 graduate of Al Amanah College and son of the founding and Head principal of our school, Hajj Mohamad El Dana, host us for this special occasion. The evening was a beautiful tribute to Mr. El Dana’s dedication and legacy within our school.

The Year 12 cohort enjoyed a delicious banquet of traditional Ramadan dishes while spending quality time with their teachers and peers. Our students also presented Hadi El Dana with a sentimental gift on behalf of the school.

We would like to extend our appreciation to Hadi El Dana for his gracious hospitality and for providing us with a memorable iftar. May Allah reward him for his kindness and generosity.

On behalf of Al Amanah College, we wish all our Year 12 students and their families a happy and blessed Ramadan. May Allah bless us all with peace, unity, and prosperity.
