The
ICPA Chantinq Team
The
ICPA chanting team celebrates religious and national events in
an atmosphere of genuine Islamic traditions and authentic culture.
The team also partakes in the community by doing performances
that congratulate the jubilant and commiserate the embittered.
Representative students from the Islamic Saturday Schools and
Al-Amanah College supplement the team by enhancing both its chanting
and its religious and national stage performances. The ICPA chanting
team does not perform for financial rewards. In fact it seeks
reward only from Allah the Exalted when entering the excitement
and happiness into people's hearts. Notably, all these groups
nourish the Muslim Community Radio with its fascinating artistic
productions.

Bankstown's Fifth Scouting Group in the year 1994. It involved
more than a hundred male and female members with ages ranging
from seven to eighteen. A team of mindful males and females exhibiting
sound guidance and a cheerful and instructional attitude trains
these Scouting Groups. The Group has many enriching activities
including seasonal camps and trips. It also participates in weekly

The BIRR Initiative
BIRR is the acronym for Building Identity & Resisting Radicalisation. The BIRR Initiative was established in response to the growing need for a tailored educational and mentoring service for the Muslim youth of southwest Sydney.
‘Birr’ is also the Arabic word for benevolence and virtue. Its choice as the name for this project symbolises the energy channeled towards assisting Muslim youth in discovering their religious identity in an Australian context and enhancing their capacity to build a positive Australian Muslim identity.
With leadership development being the cornerstone of the Building Identity and Resisting Radicalisation Initiative, our objective is to equip youth with the guidelines and skills - as derived from true Islamic values and virtues - necessary to resist negative influences and social disengagement, such as extremist views and criminal behaviour.
