It gives us great pleasure to announce the recipient of a prestigious award by Liverpool Council given to Danna Rajab of Year 12. The award was given as a recognition to a student who has excelled in citizenship, academic studies, artistic endeavours, or sporting proficiency. On the 9 December 2019, Danna Rajab was invited to attend a ceremony with the Liverpool City Council, in order to be awarded a Certificate of Academic Achievement, along with a prize of $1000.
Upon arriving, she was presented the award by City Mayor Wendy Waller. Mayor Wendy Waller discussed the importance of cross-curriculum learning, particularly in the subject of Chemistry, which has innovatively - introduced strands of literacy and numeracy in order to cater for students with expertise in other areas of study.
