2025 Graduates Recognition & Careers Night Iftar

On Thursday, 13 March 2025, Al Amanah College proudly hosted its 5th Annual Graduates Recognition & Careers Night Iftar for our Senior students and parents. This event celebrated the achievements of the 2024 HSC graduates while providing a platform for current students to gain valuable insights from successful Al Amanah alumni in various professional fields.
The theme for this year, “Past, Present, Future: A Legacy of Success,” set the tone for an inspiring evening that highlighted the strong generational connections within our school community.
The night commenced with a warm welcome from MC Amina Saad, a proud 2014 graduate of Al Amanah College. This was followed by a beautiful recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Sheikh Samir Dabliz Al Azhary, our esteemed international guest from Lebanon.
The Al Amanah School Choir, led by Mr. Abboud, then took the stage to perform the Australian National Anthem and the Al Amanah College School Anthem, fostering a sense of unity and pride among attendees.
The formal proceedings began with a welcoming speech by the Chairman of the Board, Sheikh Fawaz Abboud, followed by an inspiring religious address from Sheikh Mahmoud Alwan, who emphasised the importance of knowledge and success in both this life and the hereafter.
A key highlight of the evening was the Award Ceremony, where Mrs. Lubaba Dabboussi and Principal Mr. Ayman Alwan presented awards to the 2024 High Achievers and Distinguished Achievers in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.
A highly anticipated part of the evening was the Careers Panel, featuring a diverse group of successful alumni, moderated by 2007 graduate and Al Amanah College teacher Jasmine Hasha.
The panellists shared their career journeys, challenges, and insights with the students, inspiring them to explore various career paths. This year’s panel included:
- Nada Khaled (2020 graduate) – Oral Health Therapist
- Ayman Kheir (2007 graduate) – Chief Radiographer
- Raniya Parapil (2011 graduate) – Mechanical Engineer & Senior Manager
- Zakareyah Nafeh (2010 graduate) – Business Owner & Entrepreneur
Their words of wisdom provided invaluable guidance to the Senior students, equipping them with practical knowledge and motivation for their future endeavours.
To honour their contributions, Principal Mr. Ayman Alwan delivered the Keynote Address, highlighting the importance of giving back to the school community and fostering mentorship between alumni and current students. He then presented a token of appreciation to the panellists, joined on stage by VIP guests, reinforcing the strong ties between Al Amanah College and its alumni.
As the Maghreb Athaan was called, guests gathered for prayer and iftar, sharing a moment of reflection and gratitude in the blessed month of Ramadan. During dinner, attendees watched the 2024 School Highlights Video, capturing key milestones and memories from the past academic year.
Al Amanah College extends its deepest gratitude to all those who contributed to making this event a resounding success—the students, parents, staff, alumni, and community leaders who continue to support and strengthen our school’s mission.
This evening was a true testament to the legacy of Al Amanah College, where past, present, and future generations come together to celebrate achievements, foster mentorship, and inspire future success.
We extend our best wishes to our families and the Muslim community, and we wish you all a blessed Ramadan and a joyous Eid ul-Fitr.
